Last night’s show was another two-hour, two-routine per couple extravaganza of escalating talent and dancing showmanship. Overall it was a fun night, but at the same time a mixed bag of reactions. A few disappointments, but also much more well rounded effort put forth by some. I lost my original notes I’d made, so apologies [...]

Well, it wasn’t hard to call it at this point, which two guys and girls would be in the bottom, but I am shocked at who actually went home. But then, as they recapped the competition night, not really surprised after all in the girls’ case.
First off, let’s take a look at the group routines! [...]

It’s on, baby.
This is where not only the judges, but I think the viewing audience as well, expects things to really step up a notch. Some pairs did with some routines, others not so much. Last week we said goodbye to Comfort and Thayne, only to see Comfort back and competing once again. Unfortunately I [...]

Last week Kourtni Lind and Matt Dorame were eliminated. I will definitely miss Kourtni. I thought she was unique, but unfortunately her routines didn’t carry her as far along as I’d hoped.
Al in all, I enjoyed last night’s show….for the most part. Let’s see if my memories and initial impressions held true upon [...]

Contemporary routine by Mandy Moore, danced by Courtney Galiano and Gevorg Manoukian. I thought they did a very decent job again this week. Their chemistry is reminding me of the kiddie sweetness that was Hok and Jaimie last season, but…yeah, it’s cute so what the hey.

Kherington Payne and Stephen “Twitch” Boss did a [...]

I think for an opening night of the Top 20…they all did phenomenal! There were definitely some better than others, but the level of skill put forth last night was impressive for the first show. Very pleased by most of the dances and very entertained.

Courtney Ann Galiano and Gevorg Manoukian danced a disco routine choreographed [...]

I didn’t get to watch the entire show last night and kept coming in the room on the heel of apparent good auditions, if judges’ comments were any indication. Thank goodness for the great interweb.

This was one I’d missed and I can certainly see why all the hoopla. Probably the most solid audition so far, [...]

I wasn’t really impressed with many of the dancers last night. I think it’s due to the show giving a lot of time to some pretty horrific auditions; they kind of stuck with me like a nightmare and it was a big turn off. But Arielle Coker was a pleasant surprise and worth hanging around [...]
