You should read Storm Born by Richelle Mead also. I think you’ll like it :P The second in that series is Thorn Queen, and it’ll be out sometime in August this year.

Ashley, I read Storm Born and loved it! I cannot wait to read Thorn Queen.

  3. 2009 February 8

That’s awesome! I’m always glad to find someone who has already read something I’ve enjoyed. It’s rare in my life lol.

Ashley, are you surrounded by people that don’t share your reading tastes too? Lol, now you see why I started a blog. Just have to talk about it sometimes and no one I know locally reads what I read. Thank goodness for the internet.

Yes, sadly I am surrounded by people who don’t share my reading tastes. They don’t read period. Why no one reads but myself is something I can’t fathom. Of course, I’m sort of a closet romance reader, but I read plenty of other novels that do not fall under that genre, and yet the only place I can discuss these books are on the internet. Internet is definitely very useful lol.

I love your blog and very excited to look through your reviews and lists :)

How is “Destined to an Early Grave” by Jeaniene Frost 07/28/09 not on your list!?

Hi, taraSG, thanks for stopping by. :)

Alas, I am probably one of very few who doesn’t like the Cat/Bones books! Isn’t that amazing? It’s one of few books I had to set aside and wonder what was wrong with me when everyone else seemed to love it. I guess that’s just how it happens sometimes. ;)

I hope you enjoy looking around the place. If you need any help just let me know.

    Hey Kmont,

I’m about to start Strange Angels by Lili St. Crow, have you read this one?

BTW, I loved Demon Lexicon too. Very quick read, couldn’t put the damn book done.

Sherri, I don’t know how I missed your comment, but I haven’t read anything by St. Crow. If you come back by let me know what you thought of it. :)

      Hey Kmont, no worries!

Strange Angels is a must. I started reading it just after I posted this comment. Let’s just say, 3 hours later it was finished, I couldn’t stop. The characters are appealing and the storyline is addicting. (Ok, to be honest, there’s a small section of the story that drags but it’s all about the setup, have faith in Lili). Strange Angels series leaves you craving more. There’s action, drama, horror, suspense and a bit of romance. I think the author is setting up for a love triangle but that’s just my opinion. I am keeping my fingers cross. The next one comes out in November and I can’t wait. If you get a chance, you should read it.

Also, just got my hands on Blood Promise (which by the way, I was practically jumping up and down when my girlfriend brought it over). I have been dying to know what is going to happen between Dimitri and Rose. Will she be able to kill him or will she decided to become a Strigoi so that they can be together? I love them together but also part of me loves Adrian and thinks that maybe they should be together. Richelle Mead, the master of cliffhangers, left me blown away and I have a feeling that she will do it again. Have you read it yet?

I’m just reading The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. It is not my usual cup of tea but it has me intrigued so far. Once I have that one finished I will start Blood Promise. YAY!

Sorry but one more thing…I’m such a blabber mouth about books…I just wanted to gush about spider-touched. OMG. SO HOT. I love Jory Strong and her beautiful mind. I not sure where she comes up with her storylines but I want her to never stop. Thanks for the recommendation.

      Ok, I’m done.
